Founder

Marcela Gamo

Marcela founded Storybridge Partners alongside experienced entrepreneurs and investors to dedicate her career to acquiring and running one great business long term. She wants to own and improve a business to unlock its potential for growth by streamlining processes, finding efficiencies, and implementing initiatives to grow the business.

Prior to Storybridge, Marcela worked at Discovery Americas, leading Mexican Private Equity firm. While working at Discovery Americas, Marcela sourced, analyzed, and executed equity investments. She developed an investment thesis to buy and build a group of private K12 schools and was given full ownership over investment and operational decisions. Moreover, Marcela acted as CFO of the group of schools for almost two years, where she supervised accounting, treasury, and legal departments.

Before Discovery Americas, Marcela worked at Schlumberger Business Consulting, where she worked on different value creation projects for Oil and Gas companies. She worked on projects related to organizational design, pricing, and cost reduction.

Marcela received her MBA from Harvard Business School and she holds a BS in Actuarial Sciences from Anahuac University (Mexico City).
